SNES joypad compatibility......

can anyone tell me whether UK official pads work on the US machine?
I'm sure certain pads won't work with certain consoles, but i'm not sure which,

Papercut had previously mentioned some problems using official JPN SNES joypads on PAL machines.

Maybe it is a confusion with this issue? Maybe Papercut can clear it up .

Some jpn pads don't work on pal machines, yeah.

Mixing PAL/US pads and consoles should be fine.

I think the problem is only with early official jpn pads.

I know there is a simple fix for the problem too, but I can't remember what it is.

MD might have a better idea.

Some pads won't work on some machines and vice versa. It's very simple to fix them, but I would need a SFC pad and a SNES pad to check them... >_<

There are some pull down resisters in the UK pads which mean that Japanese pads sometimes don't get detected...

I only have jpn pads to hand myself...

but they work on my pal snes.

MD - can you remember if it is only early jpn pads that are a problem?
