    Neo Geo + xrgb-3

I recently plugged a Neo Geo AES into my xrgb-3 and got a wavy picture at the top of the screen.

Will all Neo Geo consoles diplay like this or might I get a different result with a CD system?

Anyone got a perfect xrgb result with a Neo Geo?

Might be sensitive to RGB noise. Have your had it modded for a cleaner signal?

There were no mods I was aware of (it was a mate's system) but apparently the 'wavy top of the screen' is fairly common when connected through and xrgb-3. There are cable fixes kicking around but they all sound a bit of a faff. I just wondered if it was a problem with all Neo Geo systems when linked through xrgb-3 or just a certain kind or serial number range.

It happens to me with VGA and B1, DVI and B0 mode are OK.
It appears to be a common problem with all Neo Geo models and Micomsoft scalers, if I go through the DVDO Edge (or Edge+HD Fury III + SLG3000) I have no problems.

Interesting. I only have VGA on my TV so the DVI/B0 solution would be a no-no for me. And if it was I think I'd miss those lovely scanlines.

          Thanks for the advice guys

Afte getting the SLG-3000 I'm thinking to ditch the XRGB-3 and go for an all Edge setup, it's way less troublesome than finetuning every single console on the XRGB-3. What's holding me back is the added delay the Edge takes to upscale the image and a somewhat softer picture.
