Considering an Upgrade - Options needed :)

Im considering upgrading my Case, Motherboard and CPU.

And i have a budget of around...?150 (not much i know, can go higher, but )

What im currently looking at is:

    CPU:

Athlon XP 2500+ Barton Core ?65

    Mobo:

    ASUS A7V8X-X = ?50

    Case:

Super Flower Crescent Silver ATX Case with Side & Top Windows

    = ?30

Im also going to need some sort of heasink/fan as coolent for the cpu, and probably some artic silver (but we can throw that in seperate)

So basically, thats it, just wondering what you guys(and gals) think? If these are any cheaper else where, or if you can recommend me anything better?

The only thing i'd ask is:

    1) Case has to be roomy. One i've got is stuffy, and it does my tits in (doesnt need to be a big fo server case heh)
    2) Motherboard has onboard sound, as i dont have a soundcard.

I'll be intrested to see if anyone comes up with anything

        *bump*

I've decided i may have to invest around ?200-250 on this instead.

I'm mainly looking for a case, preferably premodded, so that i dont have to :P

I was looking at the Antec fileserver, however, its awfully heavy, coming in at around 14kg (ouch) dont fancy carrying that beast up teh stairs

        any ideas anyone

I have got the 14kg Antec server case with window. It ain't heavy at all. I would go for a pentium 4 though with 800FSB and HT technology. Gives great performance. Although athlons are much cheaper. You could get a 2.4Ghz 800FSB for about ?145 on ebuyer.

Just for you that care, finally decided on what i want, and ordered it:

              The list is as follows:

AMD Athlon XP2600+ Barton 333 MHz bus

              Abit NF7-S V2.0 mainboard Socket A S-ATA

Q-Tec Power supply ATX 400W Gold PFC

              Coolermaster Jet 7 ACB-V83

              Antec PlusView 1000AMG

throw in some cables and fans

Altogether ?318, not too bad, most the cost has ended up on shipping from two companies, but ah well

              Used OCUK and Komplett

Sounds good to me, mate. You've got PC2700 (333mhz) DDR ram to go with that already, don't you?

but as soon as i get some more cash, i'm gonna buy 512 PC3200 DDR

Not sure how well that Barton (which will want a 333 fsb) will like memory running at 266. Can but try I guess.

Won't they both easily overclock to 400FSB?
