Like many of us cost cutting is hitting the household.

I have downgraded my virgin package and am now looking for a freeview box for the bedroom.

There seems to be a lot on amazon etc.. Is there any major differences between them or do I just choose the cheapest?

I thought if you cut the payments then you would still get the Freeview channels through your existing box? I swear that happens with Sky anyhoo.

Tesco are doing some refurbished units of their STBHDIS2010 Freeview HD box on eBay, worth a look. They were originally returned en-masse because the early firmware was buggy, but updated software has made them pretty good (plus they will supposedly enable iPlayer functionality on it in the near future). For ?20 including free delivery, I think it's a decent deal.

Mmm freeview HD. Might nab a box myself. I waste too much time watching Dave as it is though..
