Can I play Jap. games on a US PSOne without a mod?

You'd probably be the best person to ask about this - What are the KoF games like on the PSOne? I'm not too fused about too much missing animation, it's only for the car afterall. Surely they're better than the recent GBA versions?

They should be better than the GBA versions, of course, but I honestly don't know. I've never played anything but KOF '97 on Saturn and all of the DC KOF's. (Plus '94 and '95 on MVS but that's irrelevant )

The PSone versions of KOF '96 '97 '98 & '99 are all good conversions IMO.
Of course there are wee bits missing, but nothing major.

I don't know if you have a neo or not, but if you don't you'll be more than happy with the PS version. Unless you really like these games and want the originals.

get your fav one first! As the conversions are all kinda similar in quality
