    40-42" LED for gaming

Hey guys - can anyone suggest a decent 40-42" led for 100% gaming use? I've been read a few conflicting reviews on various sets and am more confused than before It doesn't have to be anything fancy - just something decent for 360/ps3/pc use. Max budget of ?550.

Best advice I think is to review sets you're interested in online, narrow down the selection and then go and view them in the shops. To me the quality of images is subjective and you may think something looks great that reviewers didn't and vice versa.

If you've got more specific questions posting here: http://www.bordersdown.net/showthrea...-DLP-questions would be a good idea. Lots of knowledgable guys in there. Might be worth a read in general.

Quite similar to mine from the looks of it but my one can do 60HZ.
Biggest drawback - No power off button!

All LCDS are 60hz you noob.
I bet you can't find an LCD that doesn't do 60hz.
The power button is there, but it ain't a button. tis touch sensitive, and is a pain in the ass to find unless it's light.

Why doesn't it say 60hz? I looked on that ebay link and it said 50hz.
And do you really think I didn't see that touch sensitive button after 2 years? What I mean is a proper POWER OFF button that doesn't leave it on stand by.

I wasn't suggesting you hadn't seen it! I don't think any of my LCDS have had a proper off button. Must be quite uncommon by now.

50hz could be reffering to the frequency of the PSU perhaps, or maybe they've just got it wrong.

I'm pretty sure the standard refresh rate of any LCD is 60hz (doubled to 120hz in fancy ones), they don't even work at 50hz, they show 50hz content at 60hz.

Noone says that tho, they are commonly known as LED TVs.

What would an LED TV be anyway? Like those ones they have in Piccadilly Circus?

If this was QI that would now be flashing on the screens behind and the alarm sounding! You see I knew someone would say that, but I have never, not once, seen OLED TVs be advertised or commonly referred to as LED TVs. I actually own LG's 15" OLED TV and in all the time I spent researching it, and looking to buy it, I only ever saw it referred to as OLED.

Now that is not to say that it is not technically correct, just one of those overly pedantic things that grate me for no particular reason

Bwaha, these things are true, but you gotta look where we are, it's like people calling the psone PSX.

That really gets me that one.

Especially considering there is a PSX.
