Trading in a launch 60Gb PS3

I have a PAL launch PS3. It's getting on a bit. I'm heavily contemplating trading it in to get a PS3 Slim.

Which and where would be the best means to do this?

Surely you would be better off selling it privately as iirc the backwards compatibility gives it a higher value.

Yeah, the price for launch consoles has dropped quite a bit due tithe Slim's recent price drop. Game & Gamestation give ?90 trade & ?65 cash at the moment. CEX might be slightly more dependent on whether it's boxed / damaged / some crazy reason they think of to give you less.

I'm with Nakamura; go private, get more.
