Intrusive TV upgrade notice is intrusive

My damned Toshiba Regza WLT has suddenly over the past day or two decided to inform me of a new update for the TV with screen blocking pop ups at random intervals. The problem being whenever I choose to have the TV perform the upgrade, it will sit there searching for about 2-3 minutes before booting me back to the channel I was watching, seemingly failing in the upgrade task.

I need the TV to be successful in its endeavor or at the very least stop bringing up the damned notices.

Anyone with a Toshiba set from the Regza WLT range know what needs doing?

Hey man, Mine did this yesterday also and kept on failing to upgrade! I went in the menu settings and there is a option to upgrade manually but more importantly an option to turn off auto update since setting that to 'no' not had any problems
