Was going to add something similar, the 16GB Blackberry Playbook is a nice option @ ?169, or a cheaper Android tab if you're feeling stingy

Funny you should say that I do have an Android Tablet at home but it's just the worst piece of crap ever...I just use it for anime at lunchtimes & even then it's a bit shat for that.

I didn't realise the playbook was that cheap though...can you plug keyboards in & CD Drives??
She likes buying albums & ripping them for her iPod & uploading pictures from her camera is a must as well

Yeah, Paul (escape-to-88) discovered that the mobile versions of things are quite some way off their desktop counterparts in performance terms when he was getting a new machine for Dolphin emulation and temporarily had a machine that was slower than the one he had previously IIRC!

That's the best option Neil Gaming laptops just won't really cut it if you want a modern FPS title running on a big TV.

You could certainly get a decent PC rig (i5, nvidia 560ti, etc) plus a basic netbook for around ?700 that would be far, far better than any gaming laptop costing much more.

Gaming laptops are an arse, there is not much choice between a cheap ass intel HD card in the thing and a top spec laptop card, only a price multiplication of 5!

This could not be more true I ended up with an i5 sandy bridge with the ****ty integrated intel gfx because I refuse to pay an extra ?329 for the equivalent of a ?40 pc card it holds up ok for your average game but if you want a gaming rig you have to a) drop a grand + laptop or get a desktop
