Xbox 360 turns itself back on when trying to turn off

    Anyone else have this?
For ages, I have thought that it's just my logitech harmony getting a bit excited - I turn off the xbox and it powers down but then comes on again, as if pressing restart on a PC rather than shut down. It doesn't happen all the time, but mostly when I'm in a game or app.

But today I pressed the power button once on the Xbox and it did the same thing.

    It's not very repeatable...

Is there anything connected to it via USB?

I have a White Premium Console that does this, its happened when i had nothing plugged in at all! The only thing i not really tested is the PSU as i have a couple of consoles i move about. Never got to the bottom of it!

There's a USB hub with a play and charge and a headset charger (neither with anything plugged into them normally), but they have always been there, since before this started. Oh well, sounds like one of those things.

Does it fully boot, or is it just a case of the light flashing? If the latter, you're sure you're not downloading anything?

USB equipment, regardless of whether or not anything else is connected to it will occasionally cause the light to stay on a minute or so after powering down. My 260GB slim didn't always do that, but started not too long after I had it.

            Yes, it fully boots.

I will try removing the hub from the back to see if that helps.

heheh. That helps. Turns off swiftly now.
              Many thanks Daragon and jeimuzu_uk.

              edit: bum.... see below

LOL, pure coincidence.... It restarted again the next time I tried.
