PS Vita update issue

Hi guys, long time no post I know, but I need your expertise! My new ps vita tells me I need to do a system update, but I can't seem to get away from the date and time set up to get to settings to start the update! I'm going mad, so could some kind soul please let me know how to get the settings on the vita please?

You need to answer no to the question about using a current PSN profile. After the update you can log in as your normal user. Pretty moronic situation.
