Recently I've become addicted to watching game streams on twitch.tv, particularly streams of Super Mario Sunshine but also other retro games, and I want to give it a go myself. However I can't seem to find a good solution for doing this via my iMac (2,8 GHz i7, 12GB ram, late 2009) and I wondered if anyone had tried streaming their games via a Mac? What kind of equipment do you need?
I've read something about some converters to connect the Wii/PS3 to an iMac using something called EyeTV, but there's also a convert called Kadex (sp?). Also, some people seem to go via a DVD-recorder and connect that to the PC...?
Some streamers on Twitch have counters (for speedruns) and other graphics, as well as streams in HD, so would be fun to see what I could manage
