    Modding a PS2 Slim

    I've got a US PS2 model SCPH-77001 and I like to get it modded to play some PAL and JPN games I have still. Can anyone recommend somewhere I could send it. I don't really want to do the swap magic trick and prefer to have a mod chip installed.

      There is a guy on the team xecuter forums who advertises all kinds of mods , not just 360 and im sure he mentioned ps2's

        Theres the ESR mod or something like that, lets you play games from different regions and requires you to rip and reburn them with a patch...

          You could just buy a memor32.

          Rip your games and burn with a simple patch.

          easy as 1-2-3...

            Yeah thats the ESR thing, tho I never bought the memor32. I think I just put the files on my memory card... or something like that. I can't quite remember.

              ESR is great. Not great for burning retail discs though.

              Modchip is still the way to go, a Modbo 4.0 would do great, just need to find someone to install.

                There is no point in paying for that today when there is homebrew to do the same for free.

                This makes no sense to me... how the heck does one burn a retail disc? What does that even mean?
