    SCART image

Does anyone have any idea why my picture is turning out like this? It is a Neo Geo AES into a SCART RGB socket on a LCD screen. The image here is set to 4:3. As you can see it has cut some of the left of the image off and there is a gap on the right as if it isn't justified correctly. Could this be a problem with the way the lead is wired? or something to do with the screen. I tried my old XBOX RGB and it works fine, but my jap Dreamcast is pretty much the same.

I tried it on some of our other TV's and it is the same, but they are all Panasonics lol.

I took a pic to try and show the problem, I had to up the brightness as it was too dark.

It is just the "RGB shift", which happens with every RGB connected system unless you adjust your television/console. Depending on your television model, you may have to enter service mode to adjust the picture to the right.

Had this problem on a CRT before. Was fixed using the service menu. I'd imagine that this can be solved the same way.

I need to do this myself actually, I get some screen cutoff when playing IIDX.

the geometry on that set looks great - it would be a real shame not to adjust the horizontal size

Horizontal size? That will just distort the picture. You just need to adjust the horizontal position.

              could still leave overscan -

adjust horizontal size to show full image, centre using horizontal position, then adjust using horizontal size again to remove all overscan

I tried this in the service menu, found the option, but for some reason when I am on AV1 (SCART 1 RGB) it won't let me change anything when i get to the horizontal size etc.

Is that cable connected to an NTSC console, or were you displaying an NTSC game? You may need to have a PAL image displayed to adjust the settings. That is how it is on Sony Trinitron televisions.
