A 'PSOne Book' release of this title is imminent, and I'm thinking about ordering a copy to supplement my PAL version, and to replace the ancient original Japanese version ...

A few queries though :

A) Does this version have an option to play the game using the Japanese voice-work or is it only in English ?

B) Are there any issues playing on a Japanese PS2 ? I remember hearing that the Western 'VR Missions' disc wouldn't work ... does this have that same problem ? Don't really wanna dig out the Ol' PS again, really ...

There is indeed an option to have it with the original Japanese actor's and the VR missions with Integral were all in Japanese.

I have no issues with my jap The best version of Metal Gear Solid integral on my PS2 but the first press version of the game I bought did have some issues on the ps2,nothing major just some graphical glitches,must have been a bug they sorted out for the re release and something that a psone book version will undoubtely have fixed since they will have their eyes on Ps2 owners too.

The original release only had English voices with selectable subtitles. Unless they changed this for the re-releases, then you're mistaken.

Really???I'll have to check as I have the original Jap release of the original game,Integral first press,Integral best of,and the premium pack version for jp.I do get confused sometimes and if I am mistaken then I humbly accept it

No I am defintely not mistaken about the Ps2 compatibility as well,I played it on my SCPH 10000 last night.

That won't be necessary ^^

But you could doublecheck the voice-track on the PSB version for me if you like ... maybe try out the VR mission disc and see if that runs nicely as well ?
