    bt infinity help

i've just today had bt infinity set up at home, the engineer came and set it up while i was at work and connected my mums laptop while he was at it, i've also succesfully connected my phone and xbox, but my own laptop i'm having little success with, wirelessly, i only have local access and no internet yet if i plug the cable in directly everything is rosy, anybody have experience with this situation and can help me resolve it, it's driving me mad! a couple of times while i've been attempting to connect, an alert has appeared on her computer say a device with the same ip address is causing a conflict (but not everytime)

no but i can't see that being the issue, it's connecting wirelessly to the hub itself but not to the internet from there

You haven't set a static IP have you for the wireless adaptor?

From a cmd window what does IPCONFIG show?

Thanks for the replies everyone, i left it for a few days cos i've been too busy, but it seems it was the drivers on my laptop WLAN just needed updating, didn't really know where to start, but after a couple of hours of getting angry and frustrated again i managed to get round to and find out how to do so and it seems to be working fine so far, although it does say i only have limited connectivity, which from past experience usually doesn't work at all, so may be back!

as an aside, strangely, i've noticed with my iphone even though the wi-fi symbol is there it doesn't load anything sometimes and i have to switch wi-fi off, anyone had that?

                Anyway, thanks again
