Copying Crimson Skies to my XBox HDD

Can Crimson Skies be copied to the HDD? I've tried but it freezes on loading Any ideas?

Hope the mods are OK with this thread. I have one Pal Xbox, one chipped Xecuter 2 Xbox and one Pal Crimson Skies game. I want to put it on the Hard Drive so I can play link up. I don't have any moral issues with doing this as I own the original so i'm hoping you guys don't

There's nothing to worry about as long as you own the original.

Try turning all 'In Game Reset's off in the Evo-X setup. Else you'll have to patch the .xbe. However that is technically illegal, and therefore can't be discussed here.

make sure your using the latest executor 2 bios, it comes with a built in media patch so you don't have to manually patch the xbes.

There have been a few issues with new games running from the HD. Apparantly it has to do with how the game looks for files.

eg Say the game wants to load up sound1.wav, instead of the path being D://sounds/sound1.wav it is D://cdrom()/sounds/sound1.wav. This means the game will always look to the disk drive to find the files it wants. Not sure if its been worked around yet, xbox scene forum miht be of some use.

You'll be fine using the 4977 Xecuter BIOS. I had the same problem with Freedom Fighters.

Except that what is illegal? Patching a copyrighted file IS but making a backup IS NOT.

I find it odd that I get a thread locked asking for a MAME rom, but its all fine to talk about patching a copyrighted file.
