New laptop recommendations please

Sufficient as a blunt weapon? Probably. Sufficient for gaming Crysis 2? No. Sufficient for logging on to Facebook? Sure.

While I have no idea what you want to use it for, I would personally wait a week or two, until Ivy Bridge models become more available. Then you'd get a better CPU and a vastly better integrated GPU for pretty much the same price.

I wouldn't spend ?600 on an Edge either. The Thinkpad W, X and T series are generally the only ones to purchase now.

Alex WS, he shouldn't be gaming on a laptop anyway. The HD4000 is more capable than a HD3000 though yes.

Yeah, it's not going to a heavy gaming machine at all. Probably the odd emulator, and lightweight stuff.
