Official Xbox 360 S power pack has no earth pin?

I've never actually seen a 360 Slim power pack before. I'm intending to buy a US model, and so pre-emptively bought an official power pack off eBay.

    Model no: CPA09-011A

The seller didn't provide a plug cable and, more worrying, the squarish slot you plug it into only has 2 pins, with NO earth pin. Is that normal? I thought everything required an earth pin...

    The input is 200-240V, output 12V 10.83A.

It looks official, there's Microsoft's logo on it, and it was sold as official (?16).

I'm assuming I can just use a chunky PC power cable to plug into the adapter, and the lack of earth pin is fine? Or is this some kind of dodgy bootleg?

The original one was the same at least the early ones. The original kettle type lead has no notch and has two pins only.

Perfectly safe then - cheers for the confirmation. I've honestly never seen a kettle type cord slot with only two pins before.

      Turns out it's a C17 model:

"Xbox 360, some vacuum cleaners and a few models of CPAP machines."

Bloody heck, learn something new every day.

Quite a few modern electronic devices have a plastic 3rd prong.

Does it have a pic like this on it?
          If so, it's self insulating.

If you gently stroke the surface of the xbox and your finger seems to vibrate along it instead of gliding smoothly, the insulation is failing though
