Should I cancel my US MK order and get the UK version?

My brother's getting the Zelda/MK pack this Friday and this is another reason for me wanting to do this. Apparently the UK Mario Kart will work on a american console (I have a modded Panasonic Q, so I just boot it up in US mode) with an action replay disc. Can someone confirm they've also heard this works?

These are the advantages of having the US game:
    -I get the demo disc
-I don't need to swap discs to play
-When unofficial internet gaming come into play, there are a lot of gamers in the USA!
    Disadvantages:
-I can't play UK relatives/friends/forum people over LAN or internet. Although in the end more people I know will have the UK version of course.

Advantages of having the UK game:
-I can play LAN with my brother/friends who will all have the UK version (US and UK versions will NOT work together)
-I can play unofficial internet LAN games like MK with relatives/friends/people from forums
-I can get it this Friday and don't want to wait until next week or possibly later
    Disadvantages:
-No demo disc (not much I know)
-Tedious disc swapping. Is it worth it for all the advantages above?

Can I cancel an importmadness order? And if I order online from GAME so late, will I get it on launch day? (I actually got Wind Waker by ordering online, 2 days earlier than launch day).

    Please advise me here ASAP!

I am in exactly the same boat and have no idea what to do, so I have done nothing.

I will just keep playing Psyvariar and forget it exists I think .

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this dilemma! However I'm quite sure I will cancel my US order. GAME have a 1 business day delivery option, and I'm sure that if I order now they can send me a copy when its in stock (1 day or more before it is released). The benefits of online/LAN play with European people is better than just the USA, where I know no-one. And swapping discs isn't so much of a chore I suppose. I've already bought the action replay after all. I just can't bear to see Mario Kart on sale, knowing my copy won't arrive for at least a week since its on sale, and then still not knowing when it will arrive!
It is one of my most anticipated games ever so I think I better order from GAME online now. Any more advice?

You are persuading me to get the PAL one.

The sad thing about my predicament is that I have a PAL GC, it just isnt connected up, as I use my modded one so much more..

Anyhow, sorry I couldnt help you, but you have convinced me to get the PAL one .

Except... are broadband adapters multiregion? I dont want to have to get two of those...

Ah well I'll order the UK one them, 1 business day delivery costs ?4 or so from GAME-can anyone sort of confirm I'd get a copy on launch day if I order now? They do this normally, and as I said before I even got Zelda early, however I'm ordering a little late.
rjpageuk, out of interest where did you order your US version from?

You will be lucky to find one and not have to win the lottery to afford it though.

The rumours are that Ninty are just holding a lot back so they can bundle them with Mario Kart later on or they are gonna try and re-release them when Mario is out. At least thats what i've been told
