JAP Mario Kart..... are menus, etc in English?

Simple question as title, if I get the JAP version of mario kart how playable will it be for me not knowing any Japanese - I found FZero a little annoying and later got the US version due to menus making no sense to me.... given the difference in release times I am happy to wait an extra week if needs be

Its pure JAP from what i have played but its easy to navigate and there are some translations in the mario kart threads on this board which i printed out. Its quite easy for me to get around and i dont know a word of japanese.

Having said that i will be getting the US version when its out.

All Jap but no problem at all.
The small amount of text is covered in the Mario Kart thread and the only thing you are missing out on is the course names which you can learn from mariokart.com.

Go for which ever is cheapest.
