US FF11 on a chipped Jap PS2?

Just wondering about chips and PS2 on live. I have an Aqua blue messiah 2 chipped Jap machine and want to get the broadband adapter and a copy of Final fantasy 11.

Can I do his? Will I get banned? Will a US copy of the game woirk from the UK?

So many questions...please help.

Some PS2 games ban you if you are using a chipped machine, and some don't. I think FFXI doesn't, so you'd be fine.

FFXI on US PS2 will be released pre-installed on the US HDD for 99 dollars. so I have NO IDEA if you can get it seperately (maybe, maybe not).

BTW you need a Japanese HDD for your machine.

I suspect that your Messiah may be a problem. As far as I know, Origa chips are the only ones to go undetected when playing FFXI (Jp version).
