    Laptop from Japan

I have a dell inspiron 1720 that I got in Japan and I'm not sure about how international laptop power is?!

Is it ok to use a simple travel adapter with it? I've actually been using a stepdown/autotransformer labelled "Max Load: 100 VA, Input: 220/240V, Output: 110/120V". Is it ok or is my laptop going to over heat and go up in a ball of flames??

Posted a similar question about xbox in the console section, clearly voltage isn't my topic...

Any advice or ideas much appreciated.

Aren't all laptops "dual-voltage"? What does it say on the AC-adaptor? The one for my Macbook says 100-240V.

I think you only need a travel plug so it fits in the socket in whatever country you're in.

      Input 100-240V, Output 19.5V.

That looks ok for a regular travel adapter?

That's fine, can be used in Amerrika, Japan or Europe.
