Anyone heard of this brand, been offered a Tatung 29MDA CRT monitor but i've never heard of them, it's supposed to be a professional monitor rather than a consumer one.

Bit of a blast from the past that name! I remember they used to make PC monitors and TV's back in the day (80's and 90's), Taiwanese I believe. I don't think they have a presence in the UK any more. In mainland Europe they're still active in the Czech Republic.
Right before I left college they brought in a huge shipment of Tatung monitors and they were stacked to the ceiling in one of the computer rooms. My mate wanted to nick one, but he was concerned that trying to hide it under his coat whilst walking down six flights of stairs might arouse a bit too much attention. You think?!
