Best gubbin to get Netflix from iPad onto a HDTV?

The missus wants to view her Netflix iPad content on the bedroom HDTV. I know I could connect a Laptop or my PS3, but the iPad is more accessible.

Anyone have any experience with any of the gadgets that do this thing? Apple TV, HDMI connector gubbins etc.

You've got two options basically, Apple TV or the HDMI adapter. Apple TV is ?99, the HDMI adapter is ?35. Apple TV allows you to stream everything wirelessly via Airplay, whereas the HDMI adapter basically just mirrors the iPad's display onto the TV.

The Apple TV hooks up over HDMI too.

Not to mention you can hack it to run XBMC and stream stuff from say your PC/laptop.

Anything that can run XBMC will allow you to stream via Airplay even a Raspberry Pi

Is this films that are actually ON the ipad? If it's just streaming off the net in real time, then your only sensible solution is to buy another Xbox or PS3 surely

Seriously though, when I lived in London (2yrs) I saw some of the worst chavs I have ever seen. Luckily, these days I don't have the honour of meeting any as I have done well with my life, with a great new job, a very successful partner, gorgeous kid (another on the way), a lovely (second) house in a lovely scall free area. I love Liverpool. You would too if you weren't a narrow minded chonce.
