    PS Vita enquiries

I'm considering to buy a Vita, have some questions: is the charger 110-240v in US/JPN consoles or just 110v? Can the Vita be charged via USB (standard A/mini-A socket) while playing?
The Vita itself is region free but to switch between accounts on different regions, the console must be reset to factory defaults and register the account again, correct? Can multiple accounts (different regions) reside on a single memory card?
Do consoles from all regions have all menu languages (EU/US consoles with Japanese, JPN consoles with English)?
Does connecting a EU/JPN Vita to an US PS3 create any problem or it's everything related to the account active on both consoles?
Any reason on getting a Japanese Vita over EU/US models (or any region over the other)?

    Thanks.

The charger is multi-voltage, just need a travelplug so it fits your electrical socket, or you can just switch the 8-figure lead (not sure what it's called in English).

Only one account at the time, multiple not possible on cards I believe.

All languages should be present, I could choose Norwegian on my launch-unit.

I have not tried to connect the Vita to my PS3.

No reason to get the one over the other, all seems the same except for colors. The biggest difference is in PSN and what type of account you choose. Maybe Japanese 3G-units are locked to a Japanese phone company (and the same with US) but I'm not 100% sure. If you're going with wifi-only you don't need to worry about that.

Multiple accounts are not possible on a single card, but they are on more than one. To switch accounts you need to restore the system to factory settings, then insert the card for the account you want to switch to and sign into PSN with the appropriate account during initial setup.

You can charge the Vita over USB, but it's very slow (kind of like charging an iPad over USB if you have one).

All languages are present on all units. My launch system is Taiwanese (and it defaults to Taipei time when I restore it), but any other language is available from the very first setup screen.

Thanks, I'll let the best colour decide which Vita to buy).

You can get a small adapter to make the Vita "more" USB compatible. Faster charging etc.
          Kept you waiting, huh?

Is it possible to delete the bubbles on the start screen for games I no longer own?

Yes. Doing this deletes your saves for that game though so beware!

As I have an Italian vita the plug included didn't fit and don't have an adaptor, so I've been using USB to charge, but putting the uSB end into the PSPgo's USB plug socket adaptor- is this enabling this faster charging then? It doesn't seem particularly slow.

What do you mean by "etc"? Does the USB cable supplied with the Vita cap the USB voltage? While connected via USB, can you access the memory card via the computer (like a memory stick or an external HDD)?

You cannot charge a Vita over USB at the same time as using it. It has two USB modes, which are charge and sync. The aforementioned adapter allows you to switch between them on the fly, so USB charging whilst playing a game is now possible.

I've been playing mine while it's charging? Again, using the pspgo plug adaptor- not sure of that's made any difference

A plug adapter is not USB. It's a plug adapter.

Well it's a USB cable into a plug socket, so could be considered either I guess!

Not really that much of a concern though, it's working well so far, was just curious.

USB is 5v by spec so it's fine.
