    Overclocking help

I'm having a bit of trouble when trying to overclock my CPU, my specs are:

    Asrock P55M Pro Motherboard
    Intel i5 [email protected]
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2
    Gigabyte GTX 560Ti OC 1GB
    8GB Corsair DDR3 1333MHz
    2 SATA HDD's
    1 SATA Bluray drive
    Enermax Liberty 500w PSU

Running the CPU at stock everything is lovely and stable and the CPU runs at about 35 degrees. When i try and overclock the CPU even slightly the machine crashes instantly. If i do it in the bios, it won't even boot and i have to clear the CMOS to get the bios back to default before it'll boot again. If i use the software tuner it'll just reboot and be back to the default.

I don't think it's a temperature problem as it doesn't run long enough to get hot before it crashes. I'm thinking that the PSU load might be the problem, before i go off and buy another one does anyone have any other ideas?

i thought with overclocking alot of it depends on the processor and the so called silicon lottery just checked http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and that says about 384w needed (granted a 500w supply may not give that amount)
