    Will a Jap. PS2 play PAL DVDs?

    I have a friend who is thinking of shipping some british DVDs over to Osaka to a friend. He needs to know if they'll play R2 DVDs in colour.

    As far as I am aware, due to a smaller buffer size for NTSC or something, Jap/US PS2s can't play PAL DVDs at all.

    Hopefully someone else can confirm though.

      Yep, I've tried it and they won't play PAL DVDs at all.
