ssd is it dead jim

Well my windows drive, ssd has stopped showing up on boot, comp spends ages trying to detect and fails. tried all the usual cable swaps etc etc.

I guess its dead?

Man...100 quid just like that....2013 is turning into a real sob year so far

Try write zeros to the disk and then reformat it. I'd recommend the PartedMagic Linux live CD for this.

What make was it? not under warranty still?

Touch wood my OCZ is still going 18 months on.....

Its OCZ about 2 years old, found out yesterday its under warranty still so have rma'ed it. Thank the lord

OCZ are ****. Avoid them like the plague in future.

I had two OCZ drive (Sandforce controller) in my old PC and never had any problems. Still int he first month of my first Vertex4, so can't really judge.
