    Chipped Xbox FTP Problem

I have a chipped Xbox (might as well start out by stating the obvious I suppose).

I have successfully used the Xbox Saves Manager without a problem so my PC is definitely able to talk to my Xbox.

I currently use WS_FTP (I would assume the actual FTP program ought to be irrelevant). I fire up WS_FTP and it will show me what is on the Xbox Hard Disk, but when I try to transfer anything it fails.

I am running XP and I think the Firewall is active (though I set some FIrewall information on the setup in WS_FTP). Could it be the XP firewall causing problems or is it something more obscure?

    Thanks.

Sounds like a firewall issue. When I initially set mine up (using flash fxp) I could see the xbox but could transfer. Just added Flash FXP to the firewall program control and all fine and dandy.

      Thanks

I will add WS_FTP then to the program control. Were you using the XP firewall? I presume it is straightforward (I have used another firewall program on my last PC - McAfee I think). I will check tonight if I get the chance.

As soon as I installed XP i turned off the XP Firewall. Heard too many people bitching about it so I just use ZoneAlarm.

My only problem with the built-in XP firewall is that it won't block any outgoing ports (so any viruses, trojans, Microsoft Messenger etc. have no problem phoning home). Other than that its dandy as a spare line of defence after my router.
