Can't link 3DS XL to Club Nintendo account

    Can't link 3DS XL to Club Nintendo account

    It's getting quite annoying now. I try this almost daily and I just get error code after error code. Does anybody know what the problem is, or how I can rectify it?

        005-5942 mainly. Sometimes I get 005-4240 too.

        I've just thought that perhaps it wont work until I've entered the codes that were supplied in the 3DS box and registered the unit and game with Club Nintendo?
