buying an PC Engine RGB amp in the UK

    Hi,

I have a white Japanese PC Engine with an RGB SCART mod. The picture from the SCART cable looks quite dark and some of the colours are off. Apparently I need an RGB amp to sort this out. Does anybody know where I can buy one of these in the UK?

I notice that Raven games sell a colour booster cable for ?20, but that seems a tad expensive.

    Cheers

Just need to shove a transistor in each of the colour lines.

@speedlolita thanks for the feedback. If it's that simple then I could have a go at doing it myself. I looked into it and there seems to be quite a few different ways to do it though and I ended up getting confused. Some people just use a transistor, others use transisitor->resistor->capacitor on each line and others use an IC.

I don't really know which variant I would need for the best picture.

Well, a transistor would do a satisfactory job. The resistor cap thing just sort of cleans it I think some more.

The "best picture" is debatable. I was looking into it but nobody has really worked out the correct values for an optimal video out using a THS amplifier.
