PS3 Fine But Crashes When Accessing Store / Online Features.

So I went through all the usual resets and finally did a full wipe of the HD. Got it all back up again and the same problem. Bit pissed off as support said they can offer a refurbished console for ?100 odd quid but no other help.

Anyone else ever gotten the same problem?

System just freezes and then offers the text "The system software cannot be run correctly. Press the PS button to try to restart the system..."

And it just let me install and update BBC iPlayer with no probs at all. Just when I try to access the Store or redeem codes.

Mine keeps crashing whenever I try to download Hitman Absolution in the background.

I've got the same problem MonkeyJuggle.

I can do updates, surf, use iplayer and so on just not redeem codes or use the store. Seeing as I have PS+ it is a bit of a ****ter. Won't be renewing it if I can't use it. Helpline offered no help.

Delete the store and re-D/L it.

Also delete any foreign accounts if you have them.
