    Xbox cdr/dvdr

Ive got a normal unchipped xbox. Cdrs with music on arent recognised but dvdrs with films on play fine. If i put music onto a dvdr would the box recognise it and would i be able to add them to my custom music?

(Ive exhausted my blank dvdrs so i cant test this right now. Does anyone know?)

    Try using a CD-RW disc.

Most xbox drives dont read CD-R or CD-RW but most will read DVD-r and it doesnt matter what you put on the disk, music, movies, roms etc etc

It depends on which drive Microsoft put in your machine. Since they just use third-party drives, they switch between manufacturers depending on who is cheaper this month. Some read CD-R fine (like mine, lucky me) some don't, so you always have to test. I use the feature for adding stuff from vinyl, though 12" to Minidisc to PC to CD-R to XBox is hardly a lossless process...
