New Laptop or upgrade my old one

I'm in a bit of a dilema, now i have a loverly new 42inch plasma i fancy having a powerfull laptop to connect to it for gaming etc.
I currently have a Advent 7001 p4 1.6gh with 512mb of ram of which 32mb are used by a prosavage s3 graphics card.
It can run older games like Medal of Honour very well with all detail set to full, the newer games are set to low detail(which looks crap on a big screen) or won't run at all.
Can i upgrade my laptop ?? or is a new model in order(it must be a laptop)

    Any advice ???

Laptop graphics are usually integrated on the motherboard meaning upgrades are impossible.

Get a new one. Make sure it comes with seperate memory for the video card.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned alienware to you. I wouldn't say buy one cos they are damn expensive but have a look at their website and build the best laptop you can buy then have a look around for the same laptop but cheaper. Oviously you can go for a lower spec one if they are to expensive

Two hours. But I run it off mains. And most laptop batteries last at tops 2.5 hrs.

Got a laptop for porting it back from Uni to home. Plus it leaves space on the desk. Plus Desktops aren't that much more powerful for the same price, all things considered. (At least from normal "screw you in the ass high street chains", haven't tried Dabs.com)

Yeah, it is a full monty P4.
Had to do the electronic equivalent of hitting Windows repeatedly one time, when it kept assuring me it was 2.5 Ghz. But it is 2.8 Ghz.

Don't get it you want to play Halo PC. All Radeon 9000 experience major Blue Screen death, regardless if they are the Mobility or normal one. 9600 runs it fine.

All other games work fine as well.
