Which Phenom do you have? I think the FX-8350 would be a respectable upgrade - although it depends what games you play I guess. Won't notice a huge difference if they're not CPU intensive or support multi-cores.

its the phenom II 965t 3ghz (turbos up to 3.2ghz) it is unlocked though so its actually a hex core now

Out of interest what would be a good upgrade to a Phenom 955 if any? I am not seeing any issues really but just seeing what the options where.

what motherboards do you have ? if its a am3+ then at the moment the 8350 is the best you can get for it

Benchmarks there ( i know its the 965 its just a tiny bit faster then the 955) not really worth it for me at the moment

Anyone got any clues why the 1100T is selling like they're running out at the min, I got mine a few year back for ?80, sold it for ?125 last week which is around the going price and I've seen higher. First but of pc kit I've ever seen appreciate in the second hand market bar retro.

I'm going to stick then, seems like it would be better to use it as is. The current games are not really pushing it. I guess because of the age of the current consoles.
