Just wondered guys as I'm fancying some Killer Instinct... Could I somehow connect my Laptop to the BVM Monitor??

The most likely connection is VGA - somehow??

Wait a sec - surely your BVM monitor doesn't have a SCART terminal on it?

Nah but presumably a scart to scart would work using a Scart to BNC on the other end...?

No, not necessarily. The important thing is the signal type.

RGB SCART as used on consumer TVs is usually RGB + Composite Sync.

Those broadcast monitors mainly want component video (Y + Pb + Pr). Some of them do accept RGB video on those same three BNC sockets, but check how the sync is delivered.

There's usually a sync BNC connector. I believe Sho has a RGB to BNC cable that he already uses. I built one myself for my PVM and it works just fine.

Think is though a laptop will output 31kHz minimum and I don't think that's supported by a BVM natively so you'd need to downscale it to 15kHz.

With the right software a VGA to SCART cable would work but it's not idea and probably not worth the effort.

Especially as you have a Atomiswave Shozuki - just buy the PCB!

Haha, yeah - out of curiousity is it standard JAMMA then or does it have some funkiness like the MK boards...?

                It's JAMMA+. It uses a Midway MK2 kick harness.
                Kept you waiting, huh?

Cool, but otherwise it'll work? I know that the MK games won't work in my cab with sound - can't remember the reason though...

You must not have a -5v line on your PSU.

KI will work fine without -5v. You just need the kick harness.
