    CRT advice

Need a CRT set for gaming, was planning on picking up a Sony Triniton from ebay. Are any makes particularly good/bad.
Going to be mainly playing Super Famicom on it.

Are there any other obvious things I can do to make sure it looks good. I am a bit of a novice when it comes to decent set ups.

Planning on picking when up when I get back to Sheffield next week. They seem be going from ?0.01 to ?20.00 on Ebay.

Biggest prob with them these days is that the picture has gone out of whack, often slanted or bendy down the sides. It can be remedied but takes some work, plus you can make it worse so worth writing down the initial settings if you're going to attempt.

Sony silver flat 2004 models are BRILLIANT!

I still own a 21" version myself for retro stuff...the model number is KV-21LS30U(although the 14" small version has an even better picture if we are talking retro games)

As are the silver cased panasonic quintrix flat screen models from around 2001/2, the 15" of which was the best CRT i ever owned.

Cant remember the panasonic model though sorry.

Cool, cheers for the advice, well try and track one of those ones down next week. Going to have a retro room but because of the shape of the room want a decent sized TV.
