360 and DRM (or buying on one console DL'ing on another :) )

So just picked up a 360 S but noticed there is a sale of Ultimate MVC3 on market place. I wanted to buy it now on my old 360 but download it on the new one when it arrives. I've lost track of all this DRM nonsense with Microsoft and wondered if it's possible to do this? I know you can't on the Wii-U hence I thought I'd ask before making a purchase. Also will it take it straight form my bank account - as that is my primary PP funding source? Just don't want it to use my second source (CC).
    Cheers

Your purchases are tied to your machine as I recall.

You can transfer licenses between machines (on Xbox site) but I'm not sure if you can right after a purchase.

As for payment from bank account - don't think that's possible unless you have a debit card.

Hmm that doesn't apply for xbla titles though, as I redownloaded all of them. Just GOD then?

I did the content licence transfer twice. Back then they limited it to one transfer per year, per gamertag. Apparently they've shortened the gap to four months between transfers.

It lists the purchases tied to your gamertag and then you go through a simple process to transfer the licences.

I have purchases spread over three different gamertags(all UK - don't ask!) and it was great consolidating everything onto the one new 360S so I wouldn't need to sign in to each account to access its stuff(one gamertag just had SSF2HD on it).

I'm not sure how soon a purchase pops up on the list ready to be transferred but if you see UMvsC3 on there after buying it then you're good to go.

From Googling, it seems GoD are treated the same as everything else, DLC-wise - one gamertag licence and one console licence - so no worries there. If you're simply asking if the game will be downloadable and playable on your new 360, it definitely will if you sign in to the gamertag you used to download it in the first place.

Licence transfer means you can also play it with any other gamertags on the new machine as though you had originally downloaded it on that. If you only have one gamertag then you've got nothing to worry about and can do the licence transfer at a later date(or not at all).
