Stepdown Transformer

Hi all,

Having a few problems with my stepdown transformer for my US gamecube and am looking to replace it but I can't find one anywhere! Could someone link/point me to a suitable site/shop please??

you could phone up nintendo uk and order a uk power adapter from them as they work on us and jap gamecubes for about 20 pound or whatever

I don't quite get this? Surely they supply UK specific power supplys and the US one needs 110V? Please explain. (Sorry if I'm being overly dumb)

On Nintendo consoles all the electrical gubbins are external. Thats what the black rectangle thingy is halfway down the mains lead. If you look on other consoles (X-Box,PS2, Saturn etc..)they will just have a mains lead as the voltage conversion is internal.
So a jap or US cube with a UK psu will run just fine,as the cube will be getting as much power as it needs.
(Sorry for my child-like explanation)

Not a problem, at least I understood this!!

Why the hell was I never informed of this, I would storm the tower but there are none near me, so I'll just buy one of these instead!

One more thing does it connect directly to the power in on the US cube?
