Stupid Question of the Day - Thursday

I have an external hard disk which has been used with a MacBook Pro to put some files on it.

At work I'm running a Windows 7 Dell laptop but I can't open the hard drive on it. It can see it it there but I can't access any of the files.

Can anyone help with this?
