Just went looking for information on this but I could only find FAQs about eShop currency balances across regions, so apologies if it has a blindingly obvious answer!
I have a North American 3DS XL, registered with a profile in Alberta for the eShop and a UK Wii U. Will I be affected by anything if I register for a Nintendo Network ID on the Wii U with the same username/e-mail address as the one I've used for the 3DS? I'm slightly concerned about Nintendo potentially removing access to the NA eShop via the 3DS if I do, as I've bought quite a few games from there. As I understand it, would I only have something to worry about if I tried to register the UK Nintendo Network ID on the NA 3DS for Miiverse, etc? I can live with separate accounts for each console if necessary. I know that I could just use different usernames/e-mail addresses for different regions but I'd prefer to keep my contact details consistent for the sake of simplicity, if it's possible.
