Xbox Live Trial Question

Planning on getting PGR2 tomorrow with the 2 months trial that comes with it. Just got a nitty little question that I'll like to know. As I'll only be using the trial for 2 months, what will happen to my Gamertag if I cancel the trial and join up using the starter pack? Basically, will I be able to use 'MrDark' for the trial and 'MrDark' again for the starter pack? (Hope it won't be 'Gamertag is in use already') ft:

not 100% sure man, but I think there's an account retrieval option somewhere when setting up the starter kit so maybe you'd go through it that way.

I'm sure you can just go to the subscription options and renew your free trail period by entering the code you'll get with the starter kit.
