Advice on TV with Regards to a PC

So, finally, I'm going to buy a PC for Gaming, but...This will be connected to a CRT TV.

Its not a massive issue, but I'm currently looking to replace my 14" Trinitron to a 21" Set.

Is S-Video the best connection for PC to CRT, because, if that is the case, I'll get a Bang & Olufsen.

Ideally, I want to have a CRT as I still have various consoles for 8 bit to 128 bit. I can't sacrifice my dreamcast ever again! (RGB 2d stuff mainly)

    Thank You for advice.

Wouldn't a plasma be a better option than a CRT?
The Panasonic/NEC pro plasmas which are used for store displays etc have no tuner or speakers and without additional cards only have a VGA input.

Problem is, I only have room for one set, and, I'd be lost with several other consoles needing rgb connection.
Is it a definite no-no to have a pc on a crt? Thank you for help.

Svideo is the best you can get without resorting to hacked drivers to lower the resolution and converting VGA to rgb for scart. In my experience I've not had great results using svideo out on gfx cards, though eye of the beholder and all that, I've tried exactly this thinking I'd get a great result playing mame etc on a CRT, truth be told I prefer the results on a 4:3 TFT with filters applied - or large CRT svga monitor.

Here's a TV with a VGA input as well as scart and probably S-Video and composite on front as well.

Aren't most modern games going to freak out being 640*480?

Some won't even physically drop that low and the ones that do will have barely functioning GUIs

You can pick a Panny pro plasma up for peanuts on ebay e.g. This one also has the RGB SCART card and pedestal stand - TH42PWD6

              TH-42PH9 with S-vid card - I have this one.

What I'm going to do, thanks to the advice given - Thank you ....

....I'll re-arrange my gaming stuff and have a CRT on the left of my games-station and the computer on the right, with a monitor.

I'm hoping to have enough money saved and my birthday is in March, and use that money and buy a gaming desktop.

                Thanks for the advice again
