    Sony Trinitron has the shakes

My cousin Nakamura picked me up a Sony Trinitron recently, but it has a weird problem with it. It's fine when you play games in PAL mode (as if you would) but as soon as you switch to 60HZ the picture constantly shakes. It's a subtle effect, but it very noticeable on text and does annoy me. It only ever happens when a game is in 60HZ though. Does anyone know what the solution might be?

Are you sure its not input related?

My modded saturn does this, (you can notice it on the text) although every other console is fine.

I've tried it with my playstation and mega drive and they both do it.

Sounds like you need to have this mod performed, unless you're using a PAL machine.

I've no issues like this with any of my system and my Trinitron.

Initially thought it was the scart lead.

Funny thing is, its a HZ & region modded/chipped PAL saturn.

Huh, either of you care to make a video? I'm curious now.

                Horizontal or vertical shaking?

I was reading over on another place about how the vertical and horizontal holds can be slightly different on for 50/60Hz signals. Perhaps this may be the reasoning for both of your units having a slight niggle?

Its more off an intermittent 'wobble'. Only noticeable if you look very closely. Happens when using a Pal modded saturn only. The the other 5 consoles are fine. Has to be input source related.

Vertical. Everything moves ever so slightly up and down.

Okay here's the video. You can clearly see it shaking. It only does this in 60hz

That is quite hard to see it happening, but maybe it's just the video. Maybe it's a tiny discrepancy between what the Saturn is delivering and what the display wants to receive.

The game used to demo this is Black? not a Saturn game....
