I changed my DC from an European one to a Japanese one, but never used the arcade stick I have (HTK-7300, the official Sega model, unmodified in any way) up till now, and sadly discovered that it doesn't work.
I don't really remember where I bought the stick and the European DC is at my parents', so cannot check if the stick doesn't work on that as well. And from that comes my question: are Sega sticks region locked, or anything like that?
When I have the stick plugged into any ports and turn on the console, power will come on (light and fans), but no sound or image from the memory card, and the console won't launch the game or go to the dashboard. The console is fine when a (Japanese) pad is used.
If sticks are not region locked, can someone help me pinpoint the problem?
