As the title suggests, I'm using a wireless network attached to a broadband connection at home, but I keep getting horrible pings of about 150ms. It's really starting to get to me, because browsing and downloading is on the whole fine, but when I start gaming it's simply crap. I have almost 100% signal quality and I'm very close to the router, so what's going on?

You tried running a tracert to the game server to see where the lag is? It might not be your wirless LAN -

Do you have wep on ??
If so thats whats causing it, basically it has to encryt every packet, downloading + browsing is barely affected but online gaming will be.
Im wireless on my lappy and get 20-40 ping on cs.Comment
