    Sega Saturn Access Red Light

Hi Guys, I just re-bought a PAL Saturn. (mistake selling my old one on)

I've never noticed this before...Its a MK1 unit and the red access light keeps flashing.
It seems to play everything fine tho...

May I ask...why is it on and flashing...is there an issue?

    Thank You.

It flashes along with the disc drive. It's supposed to do that.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

I thought it may be that. Thank you, Dar, appreciated

        It's like an activity indicator.

Personally, I really like it. 80% of the reasons all three of my Saturn are model 1.

Makes the swap trick a piece of cake too.

and likely the reason for its removal in later models?

Well, who can say. An LED isn't exactly the most expensive thing but it's hardly an essential thing to have.

You can do it pretty easily with the model 2 via the drive sound, super duper easy on the model 1 though due to that indicator.
