playing import games. last piece of advice needed

I can't seem to decide which type of television set for playing imported video games. Would this T.V.

    from empiredirect be worth purchasing?

Then all I would need to play games is a step down convertor. I noticed some import sites sell these VGA boxes, does that permit the user to connect mroe than one console without having to keep switching plugs when you want to play another console?

That TV would be ok. Seems pricey for what you get though. It's 100hz only, so no shooty games.
