    Goblin Games :(

I know your all probably feed up of seeing threads about Goblin but I don't know what else to do.

I pre ordered a Jap copy of Mario Kart from them and havn't recieved it yet. I have sent them e-mails and got no reply, I have phoned them for the last two days and it just keeps ringing ft:

As you all probably no they take your money straight away when you preorder, so they have my money and I have no game and no way of contacting them which is just cazy
    Any help would be appreciated.

I have never had a title arrive from them on time, they wont stay in business for long as everyone I have spoken to have given up on them.

And you are right about Norfolk, or rather Norfolk people being regressive, I have been here for 27+ years on and off and they are some of the most backward ignorant ****ers I have ever come across, nothing compares !! well until you get down to the south west, oh and the north east, plus the north west and parts of the midlands for that matter, oh and there are some right inbred weirdos on both sides of the M25 in fact, I think that most of the british population are pretty unbeliveable these days to be honest, and it is amazing how slack so many companies are as well, and then they moan that they are not doing the trade

I made an order from Goblin last Monday, and have so far received two of the three games I ordered: US Gun Valkyrie (which was listed as in stock) came last wednesday, and FFX-2 (which was 2-5 days when I ordered it) came today. I'm waiting on Drag-on Dragoon, but that was down as 5-10 days, so I'm not expecting it any time soon. The strange thing is that they seem to be phasing out Japanese pre-orders, certainly for PS2 anyway, so I wonder if they're having problems with a Japanese supplier or something?

Japanese games in general from what I gather talking to them. They got stiffed completely on their Shikigami no Shiro 2 stock for example. So sometimes it isn't their fault if they don't get things in to satisfy orders. Generally I'm pre-ordering US stuff through them, and Japanese stuff through PlayAsia now...

If they are having trouble getting hold of Jap games then how hard is it to send a e-mail saying this ? or at least stick somthing up on the site about it If they never get any stock in how am I ment to get a refund if I cant contact them ??

I have never had much trouble with Goblin before this, only heard horror storys from other people. But tbh I have now found out that their
customer service is the non existent ft:

This is the problem with taking money before the goods are guarunteed to you though, I personally dont have to worry about having the money for a couple of games tied up, but some people who are maybe younger may do.
I know I still get excited about new releases and to hear that somone still hasn't got their mario kart that has been on pre order, when lets face it he could get a refund and buy it used on Jap for ?20- 25 now, is pretty poor, by the time it arrives everyone will be talking about the next thing.

When we looked into setting up a website for our company (retail) we were told that we were not allowed to take money off the customer until the goods were in stock.

You're right, they can't charge until they've been dispatched.

theres a number of ording systems (like worldpay etc) who do charge you once you take the order, not once the goods have been sent out.
